Retiring Soon?

I can help you! Call today

I'm Retiring... Now what?

As you approach retirement, you may find yourself facing the confusing maze of Medicare. While you may have been prepared financially, you may not be aware of the healthcare options available to you. With the disappearance of employer and group health plans, it's important to understand the enrollment timelines, potential penalties, and the importance of finding the right plan for your unique situation. As a CMS certified health insurance agent, I can help you navigate the Medicare updates and find the best plan for you without bias to any insurance company.

I'm currently appointed with UHC, Anthem, Humana, Aetna, Wellcare Devoted, Mutual of Omaha, Assurity, Pacific Life.

Working past 65?

  • If an employer has 20 or more employees, generally you can choose to delay Medicare enrollment, drop your employer coverage for Medicare, or have both Medicare and employer coverage.

  • If an employer has fewer than 20 employees, generally you will need to enroll in Medicare during your Initial Enrollment Period.

  • If you have health coverage through a spouse's employer, what you can do will depend on the employer's rules. You may be able to delay or you may need to enroll at age 65.

  • The video's above will help you understand these situations better.  Please reach out to me for clarity and questions.  765-277-2770

About Me

I am thrilled to share my story with you! My twin brother and I embarked on an incredible journey when we joined the US Army in June 1986. After serving at Fort Bragg, NC & Karlsruhe Germany, my daughter and I returned home in 1991. While my brother retired from the Army, I retired from the Richmond Fire Department.  During my firefighter career I pursued insurance to help police and firefighters across the country protect their families with life, cancer, and accident coverage. Today, I am proud to be a Regional Manager for Advocate Health Advisors, a national leader in the Medicare space. When I'm not working, I love playing music on weekends as a solo musician. And to top it all off, my wife Lisa and I just celebrated our 26th anniversary with our three amazing children, including a Lt in the US Army, an analyst in Japan, and a software developer in Colorado. Life is good!
